The main thing to understand with work from home is that on some days, you will have a ton of motivation. You become so happy that you are in charge and working for yourself that you could possible take on too much. The key is to set some limits on how much work you take on, so that each project you do gets adequate attention. It may be hard to keep yourself in check during these high moments, but it must be done.

You may also find that there are days that it is difficult to get anything done. It will happen, no matter how good you are at what you do. The key is to not let one bad day turn into another. Getting website traffic is the virtual holy grail of all internet marketing hopefulls. I remember when I first started Kpop-Jpop.com and had absolutley no visitors. I would pull my brain apart trying to think of ways to boost my website visitors. Now my other wesbite is either on the first page or second for literally hundreads of different lucerative keywords for my niche.

How did I get so successfull? To be honest with you, it was mostly trial and error. I found out hat works and what doesn’t. I succeeded and I failed miserably. It wasn’t easy… but hopefully this article will give you some great advice on building website traffic so that you will build a successful blog like I have.

Step 1 to generating traffic is content. Any successful blogger will tell you that content is king. I have to whole heartedly agree. Without good content, you will never have a great blog. you would do best to write 1-2 good articles a day with at least 400 words in it.

Here is the trick to it though. If you feel inspired to write 4-5 great articles in a day you do not have to immediately post them. I use wordpress for my blogs simply because it provides me with the best options for SEO tactics that I have found. There are thousands of usefull plugins available through thier plugin directory and thousands of great wordpress themes available. However, none of it matters without content being updated daily.

Once you have set your articles to post automatically at your specified date and time you can take a break while the blog updates itself automatically.

Some people outsource thier content and buy it from websites or post free articles from other websites. If you are going to do either of these you are better off spending the money and getting some origional content. Google loves origionality.

Step 2 to generating blog traffic is to promote your blog. You can have all of the best content on the internet… but if nobody knows… is it really there?

You can do this through several methods. However, I am only going to outline what I do.

My first method is through other blogs and website forums. If you use google blog search for your niche you are sure to find the top blogs for that topic. You will need to read those blogs and comment on them daily. Only chose the blogs that let you enter your website address. If they are “do follow” links it would be best… but you will not be able to know that. In addition, you should try to be one of the first 5 people to comment these articles.

Not only is the website owner going to check out your website, anyone who reads the comments will also do the sale. The trick is to leave a good comment.

As for forums, most forums let you enter your url into your profile and into your signature. Visit only the most polular forums and comment frequently in order to build up some trust and relationships. People will come to see you as an expert in the field over time. In addition, each time your signature appears, google will pick it up and come straight back to your website and crawl it.

Step 3 to generating website traffic is through social media traffic. I use a wordpress plugin called WordTwit. Every time I post an article on any of my websites it is automatically posted to my twitter account for that website. This will give you some insane traffic once you have some good followerss

A good way to get followers is by adding another wordpress plugin called WP FollowMe. This gives your blog a “follow me on twitter” badge that is always visible to your reader no matter how much scrolling they do.

another good traffic tip is to create a facebook fan page for your blog. This will generate some great traffic from people who actively use facebook and are interested in your topic. Facebook will even suggest that they join your fan page automatically. How great is that?

Finally, I reccomend that you sign up with aweber and create a double opt-in mail list. This will capture your one-time visitors and turn them into repeate visitors. It’s as cheap as $1 to join them and it is so simple to use. I would say that 70% of my income comes from my lsit. It is my “atm machine”. If you don’t have a list, get one now. However, don’tbuy a premade list… that would be contributing to spam. you need to build one on your own.
